Thursday, November 29th Winter Concert Information

Today in, “The Winter Concert is coming up? Already? That seems early, isn’t it only mid-October? We haven’t even finished raking the leaves, for Pete’s sake! I should check the calendar…nope, it really is only 13 days away. Huh. I guess I should read this to make sure {insert Music Program student name here} is ready” news, the Winter Concert is quickly approaching.

Information on the concert and a map to the venue (the Bella Theatre at Mount Royal University) can be found below, here, or on the Home page menu found here: https://epscarlettmusic.com/winter-concert-information/

Ticket Information: tickets are $12 each and are available for advance purchase by cash or cheque from Mr. Brown or Mr. Bell in the Music Room office.  Cheques should be made payable to EPSMPA.  No order forms necessary, just send in your name and your $$.
Tickets will also be available at the door with cash, credit, or debit, starting at 6 pm on the night of the concert.  PLEASE NOTE that credit or debit purchases will be charged a processing fee, and the price of each ticket for these methods of payment will be approximately $12.35.
Seats are NOT assigned-rush seating applies, however the venue is large and there is plenty of room.

Uniforms: Students, you should have your uniform and all of the associated pieces, and if you are wearing a tux, you should have already purchased your tux shirt and cufflinks. Bring your uniforms to school with you on the morning of the 29th, as you will change into your uniforms before you depart for the Bella.  Please make sure you have black socks or tights: you don’t think the audience will notice, but they do.  Uniform Coordinator Leah ‘Deceptively Strong’ Ellis will be watching, as we do not want a repeat of The Great Orange Sock Debacle of ’08.  Also: dress shoes, please.  No runners.

Concert Details: the concert begins at 6:30 pm sharp, and will end at approximately 8 pm.  Students are expected to assist with the loading of equipment onto the truck after the concert before departing.

Volunteers: we need 10 chaperones to accompany the students on the bus and at the Bella (alternatively, you can also meet up with the students and Music Directors at the Bella). Once the students have completed their warm-up, you are free to enjoy the rest of the evening.  Did we mention volunteers get a free ticket to the concert?  They do!  It’s the easiest $12 ($12.35 if you were planning to pay electronically) you’ll ever save.
If you would like to volunteer but have already purchased a ticket, you will be able to receive a refund from the friendly ticket salespeople on the night of the concert.  Sign-up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090849aba922a6f58-drep3

Transportation: students will be bused to the Bella Theatre but are responsible for their own transportation home.  The greatest gift you can give Mr. Brown and Mr. Bell is making sure your student is not left behind at the end of the night.
