Exam break: a phrase which could easily mean, “a break from exams” but sadly does not. Do not despair, music students! January 30th is the last day of exams, and you will have plenty of time afterward to meet with friends and catch up on ‘Riverdale.’

Okay, so in looking at the upcoming events it appears we have been badly mistaken vis a vis our claims of free time. Please review the dates below and reschedule your socializing and Netflix binging accordingly.
Jan 31: Jazz workshop from 9:30-3:30 here at Scarlett. Involves all Scarlet Jazz students. Just over 200 aspiring Jazz musicians from 7 different schools set to participate this year.
Feb 7: Jazz on Canterbury Concert 7:00 PM here at the Scarlett Theatre
Feb 9: The third of three CADME All Ages Jams is scheduled. Venue still under review, but start time will be 7 PM with location updated/confirmed in the next week or so
Feb 13: SEATTLE PARENT MEETING 6:30 PM in Scarlett Theatre. Mandatory meeting for parents of all students who will be joining us on the Seattle Tour. Information, forms, inherent risks, itineraries, international travel requirements and the like will all be covered. In addition to this being a requirement with the CBE, it also provides parents with an opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the trip.
Feb 20: Choir Dress rehearsal with Artio at Mount Royal University 7:00 PM in the Nickel Theatre
Feb 26: Wind Ensemble competing at Alberta International Band Festival (detailed itinerary with loading/bus times will be included in Feb Calendar)
Feb 27: Symphonic Band competing at Alberta International Band Festival (detailed itinerary with loading/bus times etc will be included in Feb Calendar)
Feb 27: Choir Performance with Artio Mount Royal University 7:00 PM in the Nickel Theatre
